I first heard Anthony Grzelka’s name in Albany when a friend and I were discussing the nature of mediumship and whether or not you could learn the tools of the trade. She was enrolled in a psychic development course with another medium, and was of the intent and belief she could in fact do this. I firmly don’t believe you can, I think it is a gift you are born with or not. Whilst yes, you may be able to develop intuitive qualities and an enhanced ability to become receptive to messages from the spirit realm, I believe the art of a true medium is more often than not a genetic ‘code’ passed down through generations and has usually displayed itself in childhood, often rejected through early adolescence and adulthood, fully blooming, with the acceptance of their gift, later on.
I have been drawn to clairvoyants, mediums and such for many years. I find it fascinating to hear what they tell me of my loved ones passed, how could they possibly know that? I also find it incredibly comforting and validating to know that my family in the spirit realm are truly happy and still aware of my love for them and my activities of recent times. The spirit world is of endless fascination to me, but especially so, now that my son is there. A couple of years after Stuart died I moved to Mandurah and again heard of Anthony, when a friend told of a fantastic ‘reading’ she had from him following the death of her daughter.
So I was aware of Anthony’s name when I came upon the book Life and Beyond in my local bookshop. I read it just about in one sitting. I could easily relate to what he was saying as he spoke of the spirit realm and connecting with loved ones and guides to enhance our own self healing, especially if we are grieving a major loss. I have always been interested in the power of ritual, and was surprised that Anthony referred to this also, especially in communicating with the spirit realm and dealing with grief. One of the Men’s Grief Rituals ‘Smashing Grief to Pieces” has been a favourite of mine, albeit with the variation of using sticks and stones, on a lonely hilltop, instead of dinner sets, but just as effective. Life and Beyond is a book on grief work and enhancing connection to spirit by outlining 4 main exercises which act as a Healing Guide. After reading the book, I decided I wanted a reading with Anthony, so went onto his website Whispers from Beyond where, to my dismay, found there was a 2 year waiting list!

The good news is I have my reading tomorrow and I am really looking forward to it, for many reasons, but of course especially for the opportunity to connect with my gorgeous son. Stuart are you reading this?????
Until next time
Maureen
